The Opportunity
We're looking for a Ruby on Rails Dev to join our team in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday office based role.
As a Developer with Scout Talent, you’ll be able to fully immerse yourself in a project and nail it. We provide our developers with autonomy and the freedom to use their initiative to propose new solutions and make their mark on our software.
Reporting directly to the Product Manager, your primary responsibility will be to act as a back-end development specialist, working within our small Development Team to design and build solutions that result in the best experience for our clients.
This is an exciting time to join our team, as you'll play a key role in the design and development decisions made day to day. Although you'll be working collaboratively with your team members, this is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your creativity, with the freedom and support to explore your ideas regarding our emerging product.
About You
We're after a driven Developer who's passionate about maintenance, process automation and continuous integration. You'll be adaptable and open to change, and keen to work closely with our Product Manager to make technical decisions that will allow us to achieve our goals.
You'll also need experience with the following:
- Ruby on Rails
- Source Control (Git)
- Familiarity with working in Agile methodology
Although not essential, any of the below would be a bonus:
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering Related Field
- Postgres / SRL experience
- Knowledge of AWS and Phoenix/Elixir
- Experience with Jira
